So hey guys! today was a relaxed day, we did nothing, we were discussing the Science fair coming up in West TV Elementary School, on March 17th. If you are interested please contact us. We need about 4 volunteers and we are doing the boiled cabbage indicator lab, so any questions or comments please contact us and let us know thanks!!!
Club was on February 1, sorry for the late update. today we took our club picture and settled on some ideas for out reach programs. we are hoping to go to some middle school science fairs and set up some tables there for kids, if you are interested please let us know by shooting us an email. mostly it was just a chill club day today, not much was done. Be sure to bring 5 dollars for next time as we will be ordering Pizza.
Well today we talked about a new outreach option coming up in Springville Elementary and Middle school. We are still not clear on the details but we are working it out. If you are interested please shoot us an email and we can get you set up something for you to do. For the good of the order we decided on having snack at the beginning of the club and having kind of a science salon: where we can talk about anything cool and science related we have seen, read about, or experienced over the month. Then we did some catapult design and competitions which was super fun and cool. If you have any questions come talk to Mrs. Riske, or any of the officers. Remember Next week we are gonna have our picture taken by Yearbook: so please be there and try to dress semi-nice. Hope to see you next time on December 7th! :)
Welcome to Science Club! Today we addressed the nuts and bolts of the club: we will be meeting in D-6 for every meet (Every 1st Monday of the month), we elected leaders (see the "meet the team" tab for more info), and put out a general idea of how we wanted the club to run. We have 4 main sections: the have fun and be sciencey, the outreach program, science bowl and science Olympiad, and science fair. we also did a chromatography lab that made some colorful pieces of paper (see Mrs. Riske for procedure, the "the science behind it" tab for the why).
